<p>PURPOSE:To average the desorption amt. of SO2 to reduce the amt. of the gas produced in accordance with the desorption of SO2 at the peak time and to reduce the size of after treatment equipment by desorbing part of the SO2 at the temp. lower than the desorption temp. then desorbing the rest at the desorption temp. CONSTITUTION:Such a prescribed temp. pattern at which the temp. is lower than the desorption temp. at the start of desorption and rises gradually up to the desorption temp. is set in a comparator 42. The temp. of the desorption gas is measured with a detector 41, and the amts. of fuel and air to be fed to a combustion furnace 17' are controlled with a fuel controller 47 and an air controller 49 in such a way that the prescribed pattern is attained. The temp. of the desorbing gas introduced into a desorption zone 3 is raised gradually with a heating furnace 17, and the SO2 adsorbed on adsorbents is desorbed little by little and therefore the amt. of the gas produced in accordance with the desorption of SO2 is small. Part of the desorbing gas contg. SO2 is fed through a duct 18 into a reduction reaction furnace 19, where it is combined with the rest which has been by-passed through the reduction reaction furnace by a duct 24 and the gaseous mixture is fed to a Claus furnace.</p> |
