PURPOSE:To miniaturize a liquid crystal shutter device and to improve the reduction of paper consumption and cost by constituting a light source of a heating cathode and a phosphor to which metal is arranged and optimally disposing a liquid crystal microshutter array. CONSTITUTION:The shutter device 10 is constituted of a shutter part 10a and the light source part 10b. Since only the specified polarized light is used for the liquid crystal shutter, transmittance becomes <=50%, therefore, it is required that the brightness of the light source part 10b is twice or more times as much as the sensitivity of a photosensitive body. The luminous efficiency of the phosphor 27 is >=50%, so that in the case that a voltage between the metal 28 for accelerating an electron and the cathode 29 is 100V, the current in the cathode 29 becomes 4mA, and the power consumption in the light source part 10b becomes <=2W. Then, heat can fully radiate from the cubage of constituting elements by this much power consumption, so that the device can be miniaturized without being influenced at all even by making the light source part 10b come into tight contact with the shutter part 10a.
|
