<p>PURPOSE:To omit 2 processes of patterning by photoething, and not only to simplify a manufacturing process but also to raise an effect on a design, by forming a display element and a solar battery of one stage on the same substrate, and placing the solar battery in the circumference of the display element. CONSTITUTION:In case an output of a solar battery is used as a driving energy source of an electronic desk computer, a thin film solar battery 22 is formed in the circumference of a display body 23 on a glass substrate 21. This thin film solar battery 22 is formed in one stage structure by a semiconductor layer 26 and a metallic electrode 27 of the solar battery formed on a transparent electrode 25. Also, the display body 23 is formed by a sealing material 28, a segment electrode 29, glass 30 and a reflection metal 31. Subsequently, the transparent electrode 25 is formed on the whole surface of the glass substrate 21, a part for forming the display body 23 on it and the circumference of the glass substrate are masked, the semiconductor layer 26 is formed, and after that, the display body 23 is formed, by which a patterning process by photoetching is made unnecessary, the manufacturing process is simplified, and also an effective area of the solar battery is expanded.</p> |
