PURPOSE:To reduce torque at low temperature due to the lubricity and improve the durability by using a base oil consisting of a specified aliphatic hydrocarbon oil and a polymethacrylate and a thickening agent for a lubricating grease as constituents. CONSTITUTION:An aliphatic hydrocarbon oil (a) of the formula (wherein R is 3-12C alkyl: n is 1 to 6) (e.g. a poly-alpha-olefin oligomer) having a viscosity (100 deg.C) of 3-20cSt is mixed with a polymethacrylate (b) at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of (99 to 90):(1 to 10) to give a base oil (A). Component A is mixed with a thickening agent (B) for a lubricating grease, preferably comprising urea and, if necessary, an antioxidant, a rust preventive, a lubricating oil, a solid lubricant, etc. (C). |
