PURPOSE:To allow a desired pattern area which indicates a regressive contact angle in accordance with a heated temperature to be formed on a recording medium by heating the surface of the recording medium selectively in a state where said surface is in close contact with a contact material or allowing the surface of the recording medium to come in contact with the contact material in a state where the surface of the recording medium is selectively heated. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a recording layer is heated in the presence of liquid or vapor in accordance with an image signal to form an area where a liquid attaches. After that, a recording agent is allowed to stick to a latent image part using a device which makes the recording agent come in contact with the latent image part, then this recorded image is fixed as it is to the surface of a recording medium. Alternatively the surface of the recording medium is heated in the presence of liquid or vapor in accordance with an image signal. Then a area where liquid sticks is formed on the surface of the recording medium. Subsequently, the recording agent is allowed to stick to the latent image part using a device which makes the recording agent come in contact with the latent image part. Finally the recording agent is transferred from the surface of the recording medium to the recording sheet. |
