The hinged window has the fixed outer frame (1) and the hinged outer frame (2) constructed from hollow sections. Each outer frame (1,2) is attached to its respective inner frame (3,4) by a strip of binding material (5). The outer frames when the window is closed have the gap between them sealed with a sealing strip (9) which is fitted in the space (8a). The inner frames either have no gap or only a very small gap between them when the window is closed. This gap has a maximum width of 5 mm.
