PURPOSE: To directly feed power by a symmetrical strip line by providing a first horizontal dipole containing aλ/4 branch and a second vertical dipole containing the sameλ/4 branch and exciting the dipoles with the symmetrical strip power feeding line. CONSTITUTION: A symmetrical strip power feeding line 1 is formed by two peripheral conductors 3, 3' to form each half of a grounding surface and a central conductor 2, and the three conductors are separated by an insulator. The line 1 forms a one end of a branch of an array antenna, whose end passes a grounding surface 4, and the line 1 is supported by an insulator 5. The line 1 first excites a first horizontal dipole 10. Branches 11, 11', 12 for forming a dipole 10 have a length of approximatelyλ/4, and the branches 21, 22 of the second vertical dipole 20 also have the same length. Consequently, two orthogonal components with the same amplitude are obtained, and a desired circular polarized wave is achieved. A circuit network 40 forms a short- circuiting surface of the dipole 20 and functions as a cross polarized wave filter to the dipole 10.
