<p>PURPOSE:To sufficiently correspond to sudden load fluctuation and to perform stable and efficient deodorizing by providing a plurality of packed beds supporting bacteria for decomposing a malodorous component and providing a gas adsorbing or washing apparatus on the gas flow upstream side of the packed beds. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of packed beds 4-6 supporting bacteria for decomposing a malodorous component are provided and gas to be treated is successively passed through the respective packed beds 4-6. A gas adsorbing or washing apparatus 11 is provided on the gas flow upstream side of at least one packed bed. That is, when the load of the malodorous component in the gas to be treated suddenly rises, the gas to be treated is preliminarily treated physically and chemically by the adsorbing or washing apparatus 11 to remove peak-like overload and the load to the packed beds is always set to a definite range to make it possible to treat the gas to be treated. By this method, the gas to be treated can be deodorized stably and efficiently.</p> |
