PURPOSE:To easily detect defective parts of a lead terminal of a surface mount component with ease by applying light beams from at least two different angles to a lead member and detecting the bending and floating of said lead member based on an amount of fluctuation of a projected image of said lead member obtained from the irradiation. CONSTITUTION:Light is applied to a lead section aslant from light sources 15 and 16 laid out so that they may have a specified angle upward to an IC component 11 and to an intake direction of a lead. The projected image is image-formed on a projection plate 19. The image is photographed by a camera 21 installed under the aforesaid IC component. Assuming that the projected image obtained by applying light from the light source 15 is an image A while the projection image obtained by light from the light source 17 is an image B, the both images A and B are capable of deciding the bending and floating of the lead discreetly. For example, when a measured lead 27 is located at an abnormal position in terms of a regular position 25, the amount of fluctuations of the image position induced by floating and bending can be determined separately by measuring the amount of transfer S1 and S2 of the projected images A and B. |
