PURPOSE: To permit accurate belt restraint control at all times irrespective of an inclination angle of a back rest by displacing a sensor incorporated in a belt winder attached to the back rest of a seat in the direction of gravity acceleration in the interlocking relationship with the adjustment of inclination of the back rest. CONSTITUTION: A belt winder 12 is arranged in a back rest 10 of a seat for automobile, and changes of inclination of the back rest 10 are transmitted to the belt winder 12 through a flexible shaft 13 after converting them into a rotary movement of the flexible shaft 13. A control plate 16 and a sensor 15 cooperating with an outer tooth 17 provided on the control plate 16 are provided in the belt winder 12, a ball 19 is stored in a sensor housing 18 so as to rotate freely, and a lever 21 supported rotatably on the housing 18 centered on an axial line 20 is placed on the ball 19. This lever 21 is oscillated in the interlocking relationship with changes of a position of the ball 19 corresponding to acceleration or deceleration of a vehicle. A tip part of the flexible shaft 13 is attached to the housing 18, and the housing 18 can be tilted in the interlocking relationship with inclination of the back rest. |
