PURPOSE:To sufficiently improve both dry and wet running performances by crossing virtual extension lines of subgrooves in right and left tires in the front side of a vehicle at the time of running on a dry road further in the rear side of the vehicle at the time of running on a wet road. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire is provided with straight grooves 1 annularly extended in a tire peripheral direction EE', subgrooves 2 extended in a tire width direction and blocks 3 divided by these grooves. While the subgroove 2 is arranged, for instance, in a left-down state for a vehicle advancing direction M. Here virtual extension lines l, l' of the subgroove 2 in the right and left tires, coaxially arranged as viewed from the above of a vehicle,k are crossed in the front side of the vehicle at the time of dry running. That is, each virtual line l, l' is arranged in a truncated inverted V shape. While the above described virtual extension lines l, l' are crossed in the rear side of the vehicle at the time of wet running. In this way, the subgroove 2 is improved respectively in its edge effect and drainage. |
