Side channel blower system - has rotor blades, each with helical surface

The side channel blower is esp. for use as a combustion air blower for vehicle heater. It has a housing (2) with side channel (3), and a rotor (4) with blades (10). The blades extend at an angle (alpha) to the axis parallel, from the air intake edge (11) to the base (12) of a blade chamber formed between two blades. Each blade has a surface (15) between that edge and the chamber base, which is formed as part of a helical surface (16). The average angle distances between neighbouring blades are different. USE/ADVANTAGE - Quiet-running side-channel blower supplying air to vehicle combustion heater.
