PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of axial deviation detection by installing a TV camera so that the side of an internal image pickup element where resolution is high is perpendicular to the fiber axis direction of a fiber image. CONSTITUTION:The TV camera is so installed that the side (horizontal direction H) of the internal image pickup element 17 where the number of picture elements is large and the resolution is high is perpendicular to the fiber axis (x axis) of the fiber image 12'. Therefore, the axial deviation of the optical fiber 12 is caused in the horizontal direction H where the resolution of the image pickup element 17 is high. Further, when the number of optical fibers 12 increases, its spread is in the horizontal direction H and easily put in one picture. Consequently, the observation rate can be made large by increasing the resolution corresponding to the number of picture elements of the TV camera and the detection accuracy of the axis deviation is improved. |
