An arrangement for securing a post (5) to a foundation (1), especially a road sign, in which foundation (1) has a vertical hole (3) for receiving the root (4) of the post, and fastening means for locking the post to the foundation. The arrangement comprises a journal (14) which is adapted to hole (3) in foundation (1). At one end of the journal rubber sleeve (18) is provided and has the same or approximately the same cross sectional dimension as journal (14). To the end of journal (14) a threaded screw (16) is secured to pass through sleeve (18) and is intended to have a plate (17) or the like with a threaded hole screwed onto it for axial compression of said rubber means, so that the latter expands radially towards the wall of the hole in the foundation. One plate (17) fastening means are provided for securing the post. Fastening means for securing the post comprise a locking plate (19) having the same or approximately the same cross sectional dimension as the first mentioned plate with a central threaded hole intended for engagement with said screw. The post or a member intended for connection with the post is permanently secured to locking plate (19). The post or said member intended for connection with the post may be secured to locking plate (19), via a resilient intermediate member (18). |
