PURPOSE:To prevent any leak of lubricant to the exterior in a gear type flexible coupling by providing ring edges on central plates for closing the opposing end surfaces of casings so as to fit O rings in pressure-contact with the inner circumferential surfaces of the casings into the ring edges. CONSTITUTION:Spur gears 3 are disposed on a driving shaft 1 and a driven shaft 2, respectively. Casings 6 with internal gears 7 formed therein and forming a pair of right and left ones are connected via nuts 13. Ring edges 23 are projected from central plates 9 for closing the end surfaces of the casings 6, and O rings 25 are fitted in circumferential grooves 24 provided thereon. The O rings 25 are brought into pressure-contact with the inner circumferential surfaces of the casings 6, thereby preventing any leak of oil of grease supplied to the gears. This simple constitution can prevent any leak of lubricant, eliminate a disposition of a gasket, and facilitate separation of the casings. |
