<p>An uninterrupted power supply (UPS) system (10) is provided with a power factor correction circuit (30). The UPS system includes a rectifier (D1, D2) having input terminals (12, 14) for connection to an AC utility power source (32) and ouput terminals (+DC, -DC). The power factor correction circuit is operatively connected to the input and output terminals of the rectifier to cause the UPS system to exhibit substantially unity power factor to the AC utility power source.</p> |
