<p>PURPOSE: To improve safety of a vehicle, by providing an auxiliary door lock actuating means for releasing a door lock, separately from a central door lock means operable only by a remote operation. CONSTITUTION: In normal use, a central door lock actuating means 1 is actuated by an encoded infrared signal from a portable transmitter to actuate a door lock. When the central door lock actuating means 1 cannot be used, a lock of a trunk of a vehicle is released by a key 3, and then an auxiliary door lock actuating means 2 is actuated using the same key 3.</p> |
