PURPOSE:To make replacing of rolls for rolling unmanned, by hanging a pair of string type hangers holding roll shaft end parts, on a rotary hook of a crance detachably through a special arm mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A hanging part 5 at the top part of a roll replacing device is hung on a rotary hook 3 to lower horizontal bars 12, 12' parallelly to rolls 1a, 1b. At this time, the tip part of the part 5 is locked to a locking part 15 located at the central upper surface of the bars, and string type hangers 9, 9 are opened to the outside of the roll shaft. Then, when the hook 3 is lowered after roll holders 13 located at the lower surface of the bars are brought into contact with the roll 1b, the part 5 is released from the part 15. Next, when the hook 3 is lifted, the upper part of a pair of long arms 6, 6' are lifted to rock arms 7, 7' inward, so that the hangers 9, 9' approach each other and a pair of holding parts 10a, 10b coil around the roll shafts. After carrying and mounting the rolls by lifting the hook 3 while keeping said condition, the hook 3 is lowered to open the hangers 9, 9 outward, and then the part 5 is locked to the part 15 again to return the condition to the original state as shown in the figure. |
