<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the route setting time and to improve the selection efficiency by calculating a transmission margin of each route and compares them when plural routes exist to a destination packet exchange and setting a call to a route with a large margin with the PVC(permanent virtual circuit) system. CONSTITUTION:A route setting section 10 is provided with a transmission data quantity memory 11 writing a transmission data quantity per unit time for each relay line and a transmission capacity memory 12 representing the transmission speed per unit time of the relay line for each relay line. Moreover, the route setting section 10 is provided with a margin calculation section 13 calculating an average transmission data quantity 11 per unit time from the preceding check up to now periodically, subtracting it from a transmission capacity 12 to calculate the transmission margin. Furthermore, the section 10 is provided with a margin comparison section 14 comparing the transmission margin of each line and informing a line with the largest margin and with a route reconnection section 15 resetting the route of the call by the PVC system to the line with the largest margin. Thus, the route setting time is reduced and the selection capability is improved.</p> |
