Bicycle hub with hydraulic disc brake - has annular piston working against linings secured by through-bolts

The bicycle wheel hub has a hydraulically-operated disc brake. This is supported in the axial and radial directions from the spindle (1) fixed to the fork or frame by ball-or roller bearings (2, 3). Annular brake linings (5, 6) are fixed to the hub on both sides by bolts (7) passing through it and movable in the axial direction, while at one side is a brake ring (8) fixed to the spindle and with a lever (81) for the braking torque, and at the other a further ring (15) sliding via splines on the spindle and with a return spring. An annular piston with rubber sealing ring slides on the spindle, and is supported by a bell-housing (9) with feed drilling for the hydraulic fluid.
