The electrical equipment for dental care is provided with a housing (10) for the electrical contacts, actuated by the sliding switch (12) which makes no actual contact with them and which has sharp projections underneath to engage in guide grooves (30) in the outer surface of the housing and which has stops and catches to hold it in a switched position. The switch starts and stops the automatic brush (11). The sliding switch stretches over a part of the circumference of the housing and the grooves possess two straps (56) with recess positions for spring catches.
