PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a useless space in a beltlike foil by causing the direction of feed of the foil to intersect to the direction of feed of a sheet material at a given angle through rotating a foil unit via rotating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In order that a foil unit may be rotated 90 degrees and the direction of feed of a foil 14 may be changed 90 degrees, the whole stamping press is first stopped from operation and the foil 14 is removed therefrom. Then, the locking handle 70 of a rotating apparatus 54 for performing the rotation of the foil unit 46 is pushed upward to unlock the foil unit. After that, the foil unit 46 is rotated, e.g. by manual operation and fitted again with the beltlike foil 14. In this case, it is also possible to set the direction of feed of the foil 14 to the angle of 90 degrees or thereabout by a fine adjusting device. When the whole stamping press is operated after that, the direction of feed of a sheet material 28 need not be changed at all and the foil can be used to minimize a useless space. |
