PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of a low pressure electric-discharge lamp, and secure the fixation of partition walls by using a discharge case having a plural number of angular parts, and making the outer sides of the said partition walls to touch the said angular parts of the case at surface contacts. CONSTITUTION:Partition walls 6 are inserted into a discharge case 2, which has a plural number of angular parts 5 and the inner wall of which is coated with a phosphor, so that four outer sides 13 of the walls 6 touch the angular parts 5 at surface contacts. After that, the opening of the case 2 is blocked with the blocking surface of a lighting device installing part 3 in which electrodes 7 and 8 are installed, and the case 2 is subjected to gas venting and charging of mercury and a rare gas, thereby manufacturing a low pressure electric-discharge lamp. |
