PURPOSE:To stabilize the output characteristics of the ion sensor by executing a stage for coating an electrode with an ion sensitive film in an atmosphere controlled to a prescribed relative humidity or below. CONSTITUTION:After a dam body 5 is formed, the dam body is washed with tetrahydrofuran and pure water and is dried for 20 hours under the conditions of 100 deg.C and vacuum by using a vacuum dryer. The dam body is then allowed to cool in a desiccator substd. with dry gaseous nitrogen and thereafter, the ion sensitive film 4 is formed in a closed box kept at <=10% humidity. The product having the ion sensitive film 4 formed in such a manner is hermetically preserved in the atmosphere kept at <=10% humidity. As a result, the influence of moisture on the ion sensitive film 4 at the time of production and the influence of moisture on the ion sensitive film 4 and the electrode at the time of preservation are eliminated and the characteristics thereof are stabilized. |
