摘要 PURPOSE:To control occurrence of transmission shock by a method wherein at least one of supply state and exhaust state of operating hydraulic pressure with respect to a selected friction engagement element is changed according to friction coefficient of a coupling at the selected friction engagement element. CONSTITUTION:At least one of supply state and exhaust state of operating hydraulic pressure through a driving means 70 with respect to a friction engagement element 31 is changed according to friction coefficient of a coupling 31A in the friction engagement element 31 by an operation controller at the time of transmission. Thus if the supply state and exhaust state of operating the hydraulic pressure with respect to the friction engagement element 31 is uniform, an engagement state switching period with respect to the friction engagement element 31 which becomes shorter as the friction coefficient of the coupling 31A increases, is maintained approximately constant irrespective of fluctuation in the friction coefficient of the coupling 31A at the friction engagement element 31.
