<p>PURPOSE: To aim at the structural simplification of a headlamp adjusting mechanism, thereby making it inexpensively providable, by constituting an adjusting mechanism obliquely adjusting a headlamp assembly in the vertical direction, from an inclined cam vertically moved by an adjusting screw and a horizontally travelable cam fitted in this inclined cam in combination. CONSTITUTION: A headlamp assembly 21 supported around a nearly horizontal pivot free of rocking motion in the vertical direction is inclinably adjusted by operation of an adjusting mechanism 20 on a frame part 24 set up behind the assembly. In this case, this adjusting mechanism 20 is so constituted that a cam 35 screwed with a horizontal link 38 to be connected to the assembly 21 is fitted in an opening part 37 formed in both side faces 27 and 28 of a housing 25 with a hollow rectangular section, and a cam 36 with a cam surface 51 is fitted in a cam hole 50 formed in this cam 35 free of vertical movement. Then the cam 36 is moved up and down by an operation of an adjusting screw 42 supported to a cap 30, whereby the cam 35 is horizontally moved, making it so as to perform the tilting adjustment of the assembly 21.</p> |
