PURPOSE:To obtain a noise-proof device excellent in a noise insulating effect by a method wherein the side surface noise-proof part of a noise-proof material, which covers the outside surface of a compressor, is wound by passing its one end through a space between pipes, and the noise-proof material is formed so that the one end of the side surface noise-proof part and the other end thereof partly overlap each other. CONSTITUTION:A mat-shaped noise-proof material 5 is applied so as to cover the outside surface and upper part of a compressor 2, and the side surface noise-proof part 5a of the noise-proof material 5 is wound by passing its one end through a space between pipes 7 and formed so that the one end is overlapped with the other end at its end part 5A. Further, the upper noise-proof part 5b and the side surface noise- proof part 5a are formed continuously on one side surface, and, when they are applied to surround the compressor 2, the peripheral portion of the upper noise-proof part 5b is superimposed on each of bent parts 5a' extended from the side surface noise-proof part 5a. Accordingly, since the side surface noise-proof part 5a and the upper noise- proof part 5b have the overlapping portion of each other and surround the compressor 2, no gap is caused, whereby noises made by the compressor 2 can be so reduced to a great extent that the noises are not leaked outside the outdoor unit. |
