PURPOSE:To automate removal of side flashes by moving cutters by means of a driving part along side peripheries of lead frames wherein side flashes are formed, and removing the side flashes by a cutter movement thereof. CONSTITUTION:After completion of fixing lead frames 30, 32, an air cylinder 82 is driven and thus a rod 84 extends, and then a fitting member 66, supporting member 68 and cutter 86 are guided integrally in order to move horizontally. And, at first, cutter strips 88, 90 come into contact with roller 42, 44, however, spring is compressed and the cutter strips 88, 90 inwardly rotate to each other so as to pass through the rollers 42, 44. Further, the blades of cutter strips 88, 90 are pressed into the side peripheries of the lead frames 30, 32 through urging force of the spring 100. And, with the movement of the cutter 86, side flashes 77 are cut by means of the blades and removed from the lead frames 30, 32. Thus removal of the side flashes 77 can done automatically. |
