<p>PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of cleaning fluid into an optical element without complicating a frame structure by cutting off the cut section of a terminal for connection from a tie bar after the formation of a primary molded body and molding the cut section so that it is covered with a secondary molded body. CONSTITUTION:A light-emitting element 20 is die-bonded on the base piece 29 of a terminal 30 for connection, and a terminal 31 for first connection and a terminal 32 for second connection are internally connected by bonding wires 28 respectively. A photodetector 21 is loaded on a light-receiving side lead frame 23 at the same time, and internal connection is executed by the bonding wires 28. The light-emitting element 20 and the photodetector 21 are coupled optically by a light-transmitting resin 24, thus shaping a primary molded body 25. The cut position B of the terminal 30 for connection is cut from a die bar 33. A primary molded body 25 is secondarily molded by a light-shielding resin 26 so that the cut section A of the terminal 30 for connection is covered with a secondary molded body 27, thus completing an optical coupling device. Accordingly, package structure in which cleaning fluid does not reach to an optical element easily can be acquired.</p> |
