CHARACTER EDITING CIRCUIT USING ON-SCREEN DISPLAY

The circuit is for editing the character displayed on the television screen with the video signal. The user enters the data (date, time, editor or title) to a microprocessor (2) through a keyboard (1). The microprocessor scans the input data and provides it to a mixer (5) by controlling an on screen data generator (3). The mixer also receives the video signal from an image signal processor (4) so that both the signals are mixed. The mixer provides the mixed signal or separated signal to the screen with the control signal (VBLK) of the data generator. The mixed or separated signal is provided to an peripheral apparatus like a VCR through an A/V output circuit (6).
