A radial piston pump has eccentrically driven pistons (7, 7', 7'') delivering fluid to two independent pump circuits (via 26, 27). The first pump circuit has two adjacent radial planes (A, B) of pistons (7, 7'), driven from a single eccentric surface (5) and with a common inlet (9, 20, 19). The second pump circuit pistons (7''), in a third radial plane (C), have a separate branched inlet (10, 17). The two circuits are separated by a seal (31) fitted to the drive shaft (3). A variable cross-section valve (23) regulates the flow through the first pump circuit inlet. USE/ADVANTAGE - Radial piston pump assembly. The separate branched inlets reduce noise-causing pressure pulsations.
