<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the calculation accuracy of the specific dielectric constant in the ground by providing a pulser forming a monopulse of a predetermined cycle, a transmitting and receiving antenna system, an A/D converter circuit, a display means, the echo point indication means of an embedded object and a ground dielectric constant calculating and processing means. CONSTITUTION:A transmitting and receiving antenna system 8 is arranged on the ground surface 2 in the vicinity of the right-above position of an embedded object 1 and a monopulse is formed by a pulser 9 to be supplied to a transmission antenna 3. A pulse radio wave is reflected by the embedded object 1 and received by a receiving antenna 4 to be converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter circuit 11 and observation data is sent to a monitor 13 through a computer 15 to be displayed. The specific dielectric constant in the ground is calculated from the receiving time of a measuring echo and the horizontal distance between the receiving antenna 3 and the embedded object 1. By this method, the specific dielectric constant in the ground can be calculated.</p> |
