<p>PURPOSE:To carry out repeatedly and continuously gas separation cycles, similar to the process carried out in four-column type adsorption columns heretofore available, in two-column type adsorption columns and reduce the equipment cost and simply the control by equalizing the pressure between a dummy tank and the adsorption column. CONSTITUTION:Two-column type adsorption columns 11 and 12 carrying out adsorption process and regenerating process alternately and a dummy tank 10 disposed in parallel with the two-column type adsorption columns. Then, the adsorption tank of respective high pressure completed the adsorption process and the dummy tank 10 are jointed to purge gas remaining in the adsorption column into the tank 10 and reduce the pressure in the adsorption column. Also, the adsorption column of relative low pressure which has completed regenerating process and the tank 10 are jointed to transfer gas in the tank 10 to the adsorption column and raise the pressure in the adsorption column. As a result, the gas separation cycles, similar to the cycles carried out in a column type adsorption columns heretofore available, can be repeated continuously in the two-column type adsorption columns. The equipment cost can be reduced and the control can be simplified by this arrangement.</p> |
