PURPOSE:To improve coloring sensitivity, to be adapted to record at a high speed and to improve skin whiteness and conservation by employing two types of phenol compounds specified as developer in case of recording by utilizing coloring reaction between leuco dye and the developer for coloring at the time of contact. CONSTITUTION:In a recording material utilizing coloring reaction between leuco dye and developer for coloring at the time of contact, at least one type of phenol compound represented by a formulae (I) and (II). In the formulae, R1 is aryl group or aralkyl group which may have a substituent, R2 is bivalent saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, X is lower alkyl group, alkoxy group, alkenyl group or halogen atom. m is integer numbers of 0-4, and n is integer numbers of 1-3. Thus, excellent coloring sensitivity is provided, proper recording at a high speed, high skin whiteness and excellent conservation are provided. |
