A sweeping machine is described which has a frame (11) carrying a rotating brush (3,4) which revolves around a vertical axis. The frame (11) is supported at the rear on at least two running wheels (10) and a handle is attached for driving the machine. A motor and gear box are installed as a power source for the cleaning brush (3,4). The rear running wheels (10) act as steering wheels for the machine and at least one supporting wheel (5) is provided underneath the cleaning brush (3,4). USE/ADVANTAGE - As a cleaning machine for cleaning more difficult areas with walls and trees which prevent the use of larger machines. Better manouvreability with a large working area giving a more efficient cleaning action.
