PROCESS OPERATION FOR TAKAHAX DESULFURIZER

PURPOSE:To enable high efficiency and high-stability operation of TAKAHAX desulfurizer using a non-toxic catalyst inexpensively by controlling the feed of the catalyst depending on the sulfur generation through desulfurization reactions. CONSTITUTION:Floating dust meters 4 are set to the bottom of the desulfurization column 1 and the top of the oxidation column 3 to measure the sulfur generation and the signals are sent to the arithmetic unit 5. When the signal value goes out of the control limit, a command is sent to the control unit 6 for feeding the catalyst such as naphthoquinone(NQ) and NQ is fed to the circulation tank 2 on the basis of the command. Thus, the sulfur generation is controlled within the control limit and the overall reactions smoothly and effectively proceed without clogging by sulfur.
