PURPOSE:To protect the image pickup surface of an image pickup tube of a television camera from light by providing a device, which connects the television camera to an optical equipment, with a mechanism which cuts off light incident to the image pickup surface by coupling with the attachment and detachment of the optical equipment. CONSTITUTION:The main body 5 of a connecting device 6 is stuck to a television camera 7. A connection hole 17 is provided atop of the connecting device 6 and in it, an internal tube for receiving an eye-piece part 5 connected to the operation part 2 of an endoscope as an optical equipment is installed. The internal tube 28 is provided with a shutter plate 25 and an engagement hole 30 for receiving a pin 29 provided to the eyepiece part 5. Consequently, the eyepiece part 5 of the endoscope is connected to the connecting device 6 of the camera 7, the shutter plate moves up and when the eyepiece part 5 is detached, the shutter plate 25 cuts off light incident to an image pickup tube automatically, thus protecting its image pickup surface. |
