<p>Body part has inlet and outlet and flap within part. Flap is biased solely by own weight from open position swinging to and sealing outlet. Preferably body part has recess into which flap swings when moved away from outlet, giving unobstructed access between outlet and inlet. Applications are nuclear reactor fuel tube end closures. Advantages include capability of closing under high internal pressure temp. of pressure tube, preventing leakage of coolant.</p> |
