PURPOSE:To lessen the electric resistance by surrounding a superconductive core having a coupling part of superconductive part with a matrix material, subjecting it to a heat treatment, forming the coupling part and superconductive core as a compound superconductor, and connecting the superconductive electric wire. CONSTITUTION:A stabilizing material, diffused barrier, etc., are removed from the ends of superconductive wires 1a, 1b so as to expose only cores. A Cu sleeve 10 is put on one of the superconductive wires, and the two cores are butted, bundled, and coupled together. The core having coupling part is wrapped with Nb tape 9 and set on a press die in the form of a semicircular tubing, and Cu-Sn alloy powder 22 is fed from the open part of the tap 9. Ultrasonic oscillation is applied to this press die, and the cores are entirely wrapped with the Nb tape. Then another press die in semicircular tubing constituting the other member of a pair is put over and consolidated, and thereover a Cu sleeve is put followed by a heat treatment, which turns the coupling part into an Nb3Sn superconductor. Also this heat treatment can simultaneously convert the Nb cores of the two superconductors before wire contacting into Nb3Sn superconductor. |
