<p>The invention is a method of treating angiogenesis in a warm blooded mammal who is in need of such treatment which comprises administration of an angiogenic inhibiting amount of a combination of a suramin-type compound and an angiostatic steroid. Angiostatic steroids include the known 20-substituted steroids of formula (I), 21-hydroxy steroids of formula (II), C11-functionalized steroids of formula (III) as well as the novel Δ9(11)-etianic esters of formula (IV), as well as various individual known steroids.</p> |
