PURPOSE:To execute an effective analysis to various kinds of melodies by classifying the melodies according the evaluation result of the flow of the melody and the tone set of an available note based on a chord and a tonality. CONSTITUTION:A chord composing sound generating part 10 evaluates the flow of the melody from an input chord, decides the pitch class of C, E, G, etc., of the chord composing sound at the time of, for example, C major, and inputs it to an evaluating part 50. On the other hand, even the tone set of the available note generated by an available note generating part 40, to which chord correspondence information outputted by a tension note generating part 20 to input the chord and tonality correspondence information outputted by a scale generating part 30 are supplied, is inputted to the evaluating part 50. The evaluating part 50 classifies and analyzed the melody inputted based on the inputs, the analysis by the available note is also executed, and the effective analysis can be executed even to the various kinds of free melodies to use the tones except for the chord notes.
