A connector for optical fibres is made up of a coupling link (2) and a pin which is integral with a cable. Said pin includes a drum (9) from which the fibres emerge, a drum carrier (8), and a manipulation part (10) which can be manipulated by a tool. A locking system with a bayonet (22) is set onto the manipulation part and a sleeve of the coupling link (2), while other linking means (16 to 25) ensure the correct positioning of the drum (9) in said coupling link (2). Application: optical fibres in inaccessible locations gripped by remote manipulation.
