PURPOSE:To automatically install surgical thread efficiently by automatically caulking a surgical thread into a suturing needle and installing the surgical thread which is pulled out by a prescribed length by a pulling-out means. CONSTITUTION:A suturing needle N is transported to a prescribed position for caulking by a transporting mechanism 1, and the top edge part of a surgical thread S is inserted into the hole part of the suturing needle N. The rear edge part of the suturing needle is caulked by a caulking mechanism 1 in the state where the surgical thread S is inserted into the hole part, and the surgical thread S is supplied. After the surgical thread S is caulked into the suturing needle N, the surgical thread S is pulled out by a prescribed length, and the surgical thread S is cut after the surgical thread S is pulled out. Therefore, the installation of the surgical thread S in a prescribed length into the suturing needle N can be automated, and the length of the surgical thread can be adjusted arbitrarily. |
