PURPOSE:To make the subject recording sheet best suited to a wire dot printer using an ink ribbon by laminating an ink reception layer consisting mainly of acrylic resin at specific glass transition temperature and a surface layer consisting mainly of butyral resin sequentially on one side of a support. CONSTITUTION:An ink reception layer consisting mainly of acrylic resin at glass transition temperature of less than 20 deg.C and a surface layer consisting mainly of butyral resin are laminated sequentially at least, on one side of a support to form a recording sheet. Acrylic resin at glass transition temperature of less than 20 deg.C is, for example, polymethylacrylate or ethylacrylate. The preferable thickness of the ink reception layer is about 2 to 10mum and ink is not fixed stably, if the thickness is out of this range. The surface layer protects the ink reception layer and makes the recording sheet easy to handle and highly resistant against blocking. The butyral resin used as a resin for the surface layer has no particular limitation. Thus the recording sheet becomes highly capable of retaining ink and is compatible with a wire dot printer for printing. |
