<p>PURPOSE:To perform an effective deodorization by bringing the liq. containing org. substances into contact with a humification accelerator under aerobic conditions to cause the humification of the org. substances to take place in the liq. and causing a malodorous gas to contact with this liq. CONSTITUTION:A liq. 4 contg. org. substances (e.g. liq. in mixture with activated sludge) is brought into contact with a humification accelerator 2 (e.g. pellets formed by kneading the humifying substance consisting mainly of humic acid together with powdered iron as a reaction accelerator) under aerobic conditions to cause the humification of the org. substances to take place in the liq. and a malodorous gas 3 is then made to contact with the liq. As a result, this liq. is capable of removing the odor fully from such gas, whether acidic or alkaline, and its pH adjustment becomes unnecessary due to a strong pH buffering action, whereby an efficient deodorization can be effected over an extended period of time.</p> |
