PURPOSE:To simplify a structure by a construction wherein an open/close mechanism is controlled by printing data so as to jet an ink onto paper through a slit to conduct printing while an ink jet head is rotated. CONSTITUTION:An ink tank 3 filled with an ink is fixed to a rotating shaft 4. An nozzle 1 is mounted on a surface of the ink tank 3 to form an ink jet head. The nozzle 1 is provided with an open/close mechanism 12 at the ink jetting end thereof. A conductor 2 is connected to the open/close mechanism 12, the open or close operation of which is controlled by printing data. The ink jet head is mounted on a rotating shaft drive device 6 through the rotating shaft 4. On a drum 5 forming and holding paper 8 into a semicircle, the paper 8 is fed in a direction 9. The drum 5 having a cylindrical shape is provided with a slit 7 on the cylindrical surface at right angles to the rotating shaft 4. The slit 7 is three-fourth the periphery of the drum in length. As the ink jet head is driven, an ink is flown by the centrifugal force thereof to reach a paper 8 through the slit 7 to be printed. |
