<p>The invention relates to an arrangement in inkjet printers of the kind in which ink droplets are propelled through a nozzle (5) and onto a recording medium in response to an impulse. The arrangement includes a detachable ink container which includes the nozzle (5) through which ink droplets are propelled, and an ink chamber (4) which is located adjacent the nozzle (5). The ink chamber (5) is defined on at least one side thereof by an elastic wall (8), and on the side of the wall which faces outwardly from the chamber (4) there is provided a shock-wave generating device (6). When the device (6) is activated, it moves axially into impact with the elastic wall (8), such as to generate a shock wave which propagates through the ink chamber (4) and causes an ink droplet to be propelled through the nozzle (5).</p> |
