PURPOSE:To timewise take the synchronism of the alteration of environmental data and transmitted printing data by a simple means by mounting a means successively storing the environment setting data inputted from an operation panel to a printer controller. CONSTITUTION:Data blocks are prepared in a number wherein 2 is added to the product e X f of the number (e) of papers capable of being present within a printer at once in a printing process and the max. number (f) of pages printable on one paper during a series of printing operations, that is, a number wherein 2 is added to the max. number pages present in the printer at once during printing operation. These data blocks are ones for storing various environmental data necessary for printing and constituted of one environmental data block (EIB) of a current for renewing environmental data successively at the time of the analysis and execution of each ESC sequence, one area temporarily retracting the EIB of the current at the time of the generation of abnormality and an environmental data block for storing the environmental data at the point of time when the editing of one page is started. |
