PURPOSE:To provide a differential gear which is excellent in power transmission capacity and stability and can reduce the reversibility from the wheel side and the under-steering tendency by clamping inner and outer free gears which are rotated in a body by carriers, and having the first and second center gears meshed with the respective free gears. CONSTITUTION:The torque of the first center gear 2 which has received input forces the second center gear 3 to rotate through free gears 4, 5 in synchronization therewith. This is because a contacting point of the first center gear 2 and the inner free gear 4 and a contacting point of the outer free gear 5 and the second center gear 3 approach each other, and the second center gear 3 receives the torque. Accordingly, though usually rotating in synchronization, in case of cornering and tight turning, the inner rear wheel requires differential operation, and if rotational difference is caused between the front and rear wheels, the second center gear 3 can not be synchronized with the first center gear 2, so that the revolution of the free gears 4, 5 is restrained, and the difference is absorbed by rotation on its axis to conduct differential operation.
