New water soluble reactive dyestuffs are mono- or bis-(2-substd. -4-cyanamido-s-triazin-6 -ylamino) dyestuff derivs. of formula (I), F = the radical of a mono- or poly- or metal complex azo, anthraquinone, phthaocyanine, azomethin, dioxazine, phenazine, stilbene, triphenylmethane, xanthane, thioxanthone, nitroaryl, naphto or pyerenequinone or perylenetetracarbimide dyestuff, Rx = H, or 1-4C alkyl (opt. substd. by halgoen, OH, CN, 1-4C alkoxy, 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl, COOH, sulphamoyl, SO3H, or OSO3H), n = 2 or pref. 1, Q = a substd. amino gp. of formula (IIa) or (IIb), H, 1-4C alkyl (opt. substd. cyclohexyl, or phenyl (opt. substd. W = (substd) arylene, or alkylene-arylene or arylene or alkylene-arylene -alkylene or arylene-alkylene-arylene in which teh alkylene gps. have 1-8C are opt. substd. and may contain hetero gp(s) the arylene gps. are (substd.) phenylene or naphthylene gps. and the alkylene and arylene pts. in the combined arylene/alkylene gps. may each be sepd. by one hetero gp. Y = vinyl, beta-(thio)sulphato, beta-phosphatoethyl, beta-(2-5C alkanoyloxy), beta-benzoyloxy, beta-(sulphobenzoyloxy) beta-(p-toluenesulphonyloxy) or beta- haloethyl, Z = 1 or 2, A = O or 1, B = 1 or 2, A + B = 2, if B = 2, the -W-(SO2-Y)k gps. may be the same or differetn, X with the N atoms = the bivalent radical of 1 or 2 1-5C alkylene gps. and opt. 1 or 2 hetero gps. alk = a-4C alkylene. The prepn. of (I) is claimed (see below). USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are claimed for dyeing (including printing) material esp. fibre material, contg. OH and/or carbonamido gps. (I) are esp. used for dyeing cotton and also useful with wool, silk and mixed fabrics contg. these. High colour strength is obtd. and the dyeing is fast, build-up good and the deg. of fixing high.
